Definition: Cheek Bone Augmentation:
A cosmetic surgical procedure that is intended to emphasize the cheeks on a person’s face

Cheek Bone Contouring:
A procedure that reduces the height of the cheek bone in case of extremely prominent cheek bone.
   
Procedure: Surgeon will make an incision in the upper mouth near the top of the gum line & slide implants into places. Another method is to make external incision near the eye. Also, it can be an injection to the cheekbones to provide a less invasive and less expensive approach to cheek augmentation. A Hyaluronic Acid, such as Restylane can be injected to the cheek. “Own Fat” is considered more permanent option

No Aspirin 2 weeks prior to surgery

Post-Operative Care: Presence of pain which is usually controlled by medicine in a day or 2.
Sutures will be removed within a week
Might result in slight scarring
Swelling and discoloration of cheeks will disappear in a few days.
Some degree of firmness may occur for weeks to months.
Surgeon might prescribed a medicine for faster healing process.
Shower bath can be extended after removing fabric
No heavy exercise 2 weeks after surgery.
Fading of scars will take effect after a couple of months.
